The Mum lays 1 egg then she goes to find some food. The dad keeps the egg on his feet for almost 2 months. Finally the mum comes back to the dad.

Little penguins are black and white and they eat fish, squid and krill. Every year penguins make a nest to lay their eggs in. They lay 2 eggs but normally only 1 survives. The penguin can reach the size of up to 40 cm. That’s as long as 2 new pencils.
